Quick Star

Quick Lauro Z

Quick Lauro Z was very successful in 2000 at the World Championship for Young Horses in Lanaken in the category for the 6-yr-olds where he finished in 4th place in the finals under Jos Lansink. Sire Quick Star can be considered one of the best jumping suppliers in view of his numerous offspring doing remarkably well in young horse competitions, such as Quick Lauro Z himself but also the `99 World Champion of the 5-yr-olds Mine Star (Rolf Goran Bengtsson) and Quick Sir Z (Rolf Goran Bengtsson) descend from the Galoubet-son.

In international circles Quick Star is represented by his daughter Sprehe Stella, the successful mare ridden by Meredith Michaels who has become as famous as her grandam with the same name. Quick Lauro Z was bred by Paul Schockemöhle out of the mare Laura, a daughter of Lauriston. The dam`s line continues to a daughter of the stallion Raphael.

This Hanoverian stallion can be considered as one of the best Ramiro-sons in breeding. Some of Raphael`s famous products in the international jumping sport are Radiator (Rene Tebbel), Robinson (Richard Spooner) and Ralph (Luiz Felipe de Azevedo). In 2000 Raphael was leader of the best winning sires in both the U.S.A. as in Germany.
